The Pro Wool Pad is a heavy-duty cutting tool engineered for rapid paint correction on Dual Action (DA) polishers. Crafted from 100% natural sheep’s wool, this pad provides the aggressive mechanical “bite” needed to level deep scratches, heavy oxidation, and severe paint defects. Unlike traditional wool pads that can be difficult to control, the Pro Wool features a soft open-cell foam interface layer between the wool and the backing. This hybrid design absorbs machine vibrations and ensures the pad follows the contours of the vehicle with maximum stability and lower heat generation.
100% Natural Sheep’s Wool: Utilises premium natural fibres for maximum cutting efficiency compared to synthetic alternatives.
Vibration-Dampening Foam Layer: An integrated soft foam interface reduces operator fatigue and improves pad stability on curved panels.
Short-Bristle Design: Engineered for increased abrasion and more uniform results, allowing the compound to stay active longer.
Low Heat Generation: The natural wool and open-cell foam combination promotes superior airflow, reducing the risk of paint burn during heavy correction.
Precision Centring Hole: Ensures the pad remains perfectly balanced on the backing plate, preventing machine wobble and uneven wear.
Material: 100% Natural Sheep’s Wool / Open-cell foam interface
Machine Compatibility: Specifically optimised for Dual Action (DA) Polishers
Diameter: 130 mm (Fits standard 125mm/5″ backing plates)
Thickness: 80 mm (Total structure)
Attachment: Heavy-duty Hook-and-Loop (Velcro)
Initial Setup: Before first use, blow out the pad with compressed air to remove loose factory fibres (shedding is normal for natural wool).
Priming: Apply 4–5 pea-sized drops of a heavy-cut compound. Use your finger or a pad tool to spread it evenly into the wool fibres.
Operation: Polish at moderate speeds. The wool does the cutting, so you don’t need excessive downward pressure.
Cleaning: Wool pads clog quickly with spent clear coat. Clean the fibres with a pad brush or compressed air after every single section to maintain cutting power.
Refinement: Because this is a heavy-cut tool, it may leave “hazing.” Always follow up with a medium or fine foam pad to restore total clarity.
