The Ta’ Spiru journey began in 2017 with our Naxxar flagship and a mission to fix a gap in the market. We wanted to move away from quick, transactional haircuts and instead create a warm, authentic destination where men could truly unwind. Our shops are built on a vintage aesthetic of natural wood and classic lighting, designed to turn a routine service into a premium experience where the craft is respected and the client always comes first.

Scaling from a single shop in Naxxar to four—and now toward our sixth location—has been a journey of constant evolution. The biggest challenge in growing a brand is keeping that “local barber” feel that our clients first fell in love with. We’ve managed this by refusing to become a corporate machine; instead, we rely daily on client feedback and loyalty to refine our services and aesthetic. By listening to the people in our chairs, we ensure that as we get bigger, we also get better, keeping the community at the heart of every new door we open.
As we celebrate nearly a decade in the business, our primary motivation remains rooted in the very first day we opened. The name Ta’ Spiru is more than just a brand; it is a tribute to our founder Norbert’s father, Spiru. No matter how many locations we build or how many signs we put up, we feel that none are truly enough to fully uphold his memory. This personal legacy is what drives us to maintain the highest standards every day.
